Product Specialist, SportsMed, Southern Sweden

The Role
In the role as Product Specialist you will be responsible for driving and maximizing sales of Smith & Nephew’s products in southern Sweden through regular contact with the target customer base. As a Product Specialist you are expected to develop and deliver a high level of knowledge about S&N products and to sell and communicate the products’ advantages over the competition. You will also be conducting pre-tender activities and participate in tender submissions in collaboration with a skilled Tender Team.

The role is field based at the customers, including in the operating room. You are expected to be at least 80% of your time at the customers. The role includes some travel, mostly domestic and occasionally in the Nordics and Internationally.

The job assignment includes:
• Drive and maximize sales of Smith & Nephew products within an assigned territory through regular contact with the target customer base
• Hold clinical meetings/training sessions, product demonstrations and provide technical advice to customers
• Continuously assess the territory and market to identify and capitalize business opportunities
• Build strong relationships with key customers and develop knowledge in order to increase market share for S&N
• Work with and support all phases of the tender process
• Continuously develop selling skills through field visits, co-visits, exposing oneself to new learning opportunities, seeking feed-back from Customers, Manager and Colleagues

Territory: The district covers southern Sweden. Ideally, you are based in Skåne or Halland

You have a proven experience from the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry with good knowledge and understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the local medical regions in southern Sweden. It is important that you have experience in working with tenders, account planning, budgeting and forecasting.

You have strong interpersonal skills and can communicate complex information in an uncomplicated and understandable way.
