Bid Manager


Job Description
We are looking for a driven, proactive BID Manager Nordic to join our expanding team. In this exciting field role you will be responsible for the national strategies regarding tenders and managing activities for all central purchasing activities in the Nordic area (Sweden, Norway, Denmark & Finland). You will be based in Sweden and travel across the country, the Nordic area, and to Applied Medical’s European headquarters located in The Netherlands.

You will report to the Sales Director and work closely together with the Nordic Regional Sales Managers.

Within Applied Medical the title of this position is National Account and Tender Manager.


Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain close working relations with various Nordic tender administrations, tendering public and private hospitals, and C-level executives
• Actively give advice to external tender administrations to achieve a fair playing field in tenders
• Actively follow tender publications, analyze the technical and economical requests and formulate winning tender strategies
• Analyze the relationship between price and purchase levels of public & private tenders and formulate pricing strategies
• Develop and manage a standard tender process for the Nordics, specifying timelines and responsibilities
• Manage contracts with various Nordic tender administrations and distributors
• Develop and maintain optimal working relations with Applied Medical’s local Nordic Sales Team and all relevant departments at our European Headquarters
• Collaborate in developing the most adequate strategy for each public & private tender and national account for the Nordic area


Requirements
• Master’s degree level education
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience within the medical or pharmaceutical field (or related areas)
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar position with a proven track record
• In depth knowledge about tenders and public procurement rules
• Excellent Swedish and English, both written and spoken
• Understanding of Danish, Norwegian or Finish is a plus
• Excellent Excel skills, and Windows based computer applications
